You know, I rarely buy digital goods using real money. Back in Team Fortress 2, I bought some keys and I never bought hats (if I recall correctly) because it was kinda annoying to look at your items with a “cannot be traded” tag. Plus, they’re digital goods and these items can be found via random drops anyways. The main reason why I spent real money on keys in the first place is I need them to trade for Steam games. TF2’s trading scene was big and I was able to get games for half the price and that’s also the reason why my Steam game library is big at 270 games.
Dark Souls is a kind of game series that lets me fuck around the world without the game telling me to go to the next objective or I have to play it faster because my score is based on my time it took to traverse an area or kill the boss. This is one of the reasons why I always pick up a Souls game to unwind and relax and close it when I’m done.
And out of the 3 Souls game, I love Dark Souls 2 more than DaS3, especially more than DaS1.
I’ve made several attempts in creating personal blogs, but I ended up abandoning them because if I wanna rant at something or talk about something, I’ll just use my fansubbing website. I even made a MAL account once and abandoned it a few hours later. I’ll just use Excel if I want to keep track on my anime.
I’m not really sure why. Maybe because my pathetic third-world weeb life isn’t interesting compared to other weebs, or no one really cares because I get more responses when shitposting in image boards than making episode reviews of one anime series. I mean, I rarely get any responses from my reviews and one of the handful of followers prefer to bitch and moan why Aikatsu Stars has male characters rather than talking about, well, you know, everything else. It’s very surprising this blog is still alive after a year. I think I’d be more invested in this blog of people actually replied and critique my opinions.
Or maybe I should go normie and do normie things like post random pictures using my phone and take pictures of greasy foods I ordered, and take random videos in portrait mode.
Aikatsu Stars! season 1 is finally over and it’s time to review the last 5 episodes and tell you what I think about the anime. And as always, I’ll be brief and avoid any spoilers as possible. Avoiding spoilers is pointless at this point though because this is a late review and 99.99% of the fans already seen these episodes.
The start of 2017 was rather hectic and I have to decide which ones to prioritize and which ones to put in the back burner. I actually lost my internet for a good full week and I spent my time watching Aikatsu Stars and try catch up. Ohys-Raws raws have way low volume for my liking, by the way. Better than nothing I guess.
Anyway, I watched past episode 45, but decided to make my marathon review stopping at 45 because I think the S4 competition starts on episode 46. Either I make individual episode reviews or just another review marathon.
Aikatsu Stars! the Movie is literally or figuratively, or both a love story between Rola and Yume, and it’s not as subtle as Ichigo’s love song to Mizuki. It’s a BLATANT love story through and through. Try watching this on Valentine’s Day.
Oh and spoilers.
But come on, it’s not like this scene was posted a trillion times on the internet for months.
The ending of OG Aikatsu! was okay in my opinion. Not the best simply because how the characters were handled in the end. The 4th season decided to shorten its runtime so we saw some rushed moments and character development like how the hell two newbie potato Mizuki-Mikuru clones/palette swaps ended up qualifying for Starlight Queen, and it was debatable how Akari managed to outpace the more athletically superior Ichigo in the triathlon. But I guess they want to show Akari she’s equal or even stronger than Ichigo now and reference that same moment between Ichigo and her mother Ringo. I didn’t agree with it.
In this special episode, I found it odd why Akari never addressed Ichigo’s name or even surname. It’s all “hai!” like the doormat Akari once was. Oh well…
My reviews are easy to invalidate because I’m watching this with limited knowledge of the Japanese language. But I do try to understand the story by piecing together visual cues and with whatever words I do understand. I have to say that I’m fairly certain what went on in episode 35. Thank goodness the anime is throwing actual plot elements.
I notice Ako hangs around with Mahiru quite often and I think that’s a good thing and I hope they keep it up because a stand-up comedy duo gig isn’t so bad, and Ako’s reactions to things are kinda cute. Heh, I’m softening up to Ako now.
Drama-free Aikatsu episodes are the best episodes and that is a straight up fact. Drama is nice but if drama happened because people were dumb, then it’s not fun to watch. One of the best examples of drama-free episodes is episode 34 focusing more on Mahiru (again).
Okay, I lied, I’m browsing 4chan, but it’s a fact I stopped browsing /a/. The last time I actually posted was around Nachuyachumi+2 and when I tried to stay longer, they told me to fuck off in the end. I wasn’t really bummed or anything because I had no reason to post after we’re done with the OVA and specials. Hey, at least it’s nice an Anon actually named their newborn kitten “Lazy Lily.”
The only boards I frequently visit are /u/, /v/ and /pol/ (for Trumpman, and Duterte threads), and that’s it. Why am I bringing this up? I left /a/ for almost two years (not sure, I actually lost count) now and I stopped giving a shit, and yet, as evidenced in a recent post in /u/, I’m still not “Literally who” status and it suggests I’m somehow still relevant in their hugbox I was never part of since day one. I stopped giving a shit a long time ago, scumfucks. Show some courtesy and do the same.
If you see me do a review marathon, chances are I was busy doing something else. Last week-ish we translated a doujin that is perfect for Halloween, and since it was a Yurika and Seira event in Photokatsu, the douijn we translated was a RanYuri book.
